Handyman Cambridge began with a simple observation: most people do not want to manage a building project, they just want the jobs around the house done — properly, on time and without fuss. Finding a tradesperson who will turn up for the "small stuff", do it well and charge fairly is harder than it should be. We set out to be exactly that: the dependable local number you keep on the fridge for everything from a wobbly shelf to a full bathroom refit.

We are a multi-skilled handyman service covering Cambridge and everywhere within around 35 miles. Over the years we have built our reputation the slow, honest way — one tidy job at a time, on the recommendation of neighbours, friends and family. A great deal of our work comes from repeat customers and word of mouth, which we think says more than any advert could.

What we believe

Good work should be the easy part of hiring a tradesperson. So we keep things straightforward: we answer the phone, we turn up when we say we will, we explain what needs doing in plain English, and we give you a clear price before we start. We protect your home while we work, clear up properly afterwards, and never leave a job half-finished. If something is outside what we can safely or sensibly do, we will tell you honestly and, where we can, point you towards someone trustworthy who can help.

Because we cover carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, electrical jobs, tiling, fencing, flat-pack, repairs and much more, you can hand over an entire list rather than booking and waiting for several different firms. Bigger or specialist jobs — full refits, roofing, tree work, loft conversions — are handled with the same care, and batching smaller tasks into one visit keeps your costs down.
