Flatpack Assembly in Cambridge

Wardrobes, beds, desks and storage built correctly, level and ready to use.

Flatpack Assembly in Cambridge

Flat-pack furniture looks simple on the box and rarely is. Missing dowels, confusing diagrams, doors that will not sit square and a pile of leftover fittings are all part of the experience. We assemble flat-pack quickly and correctly, square and solid, and clear the packaging away so you are left with furniture that is ready to use.

We build flat-pack from every major retailer for homes across Cambridge and the nearby villages, from a single bedside table to a full bedroom of wardrobes. Where furniture should be secured to the wall for safety, we fix it properly into the right anchors.

What our flatpack assembly service includes

Every property and every job is a little different, but a typical flatpack assembly booking with us covers work such as:

  • Wardrobes, sliding-door units and chests of drawers
  • Beds, divans, bunk beds and headboards
  • Desks, bookcases, shelving and home-office furniture
  • Kitchen and utility flat-pack units
  • Garden furniture, sheds and storage boxes
  • TV units, sideboards and display cabinets
  • Wall-fixing tall furniture safely to prevent tipping
  • Removal and disposal of all packaging

Not sure whether your particular job fits? Just ask. If it is something we cannot help with ourselves, we will usually be able to point you towards someone trustworthy who can.

Flatpack Assembly across Cambridge and beyond

We are based in Cambridge and cover every town and village within roughly 35 miles, so wherever you are in the region you have a local handyman within easy reach for flatpack assembly. That includes Linton, Burwell, Bottisham, Fulbourn, Melbourn, Gamlingay and many more besides — you can see the full list of areas we cover or jump straight to your nearest town.

Because we work across the whole area week in and week out, we understand the local housing — from period cottages and Victorian terraces to new-build estates and converted barns — and we tailor the work to suit the property rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Flatpack Assembly: your questions answered

Do you charge per item or by the hour?

For a few items we usually work by the hour, which is cheaper. For a large order we can quote a fixed price once we know the pieces involved.

Will you take the packaging away?

Yes. We flatten and remove the cardboard and packaging so you are not left with a mountain of recycling.

Can you fix wardrobes to the wall?

We do, and we recommend it for tall units, especially in homes with children. We use the correct fixings for your wall type.
